    SOLID WOOD MARKING / MORTISING GAUGE
    With Wooden Screw
    Here is a nice collector's item that is made of solid beech wood--one of the most stable of American hardwoods.  This is a standard size hand-held marking gauge that is 9" long.   The facing piece is 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" and 1" thick.  The wooden screw has a total length of 1 1/4" and is 3/8" in
    diameter.
    Condition:  The wooden screw is in excellent condition without any chipped threads.  This marking tool must have been stored away from metal tools because it is not very scratched or dented by being stored with metal tools.    The small metal pin used for marking has been worn down so that it is hard to make a mark with it.  All of my items are from a nonsmoking environment.
